Default Durability - Hours/Miles

So I知 interested in the longevity of these machines. What痴 considered a good lifespan? I bought my 2005 700 EFI off eBay for $3850 and it had 160 hrs/1475 miles. Its been a great machine. Seems like it be good a long while with proper care.

How many hours/miles do ya値l have?

if you did a search on here you would see some machines have over 10,000 miles on here, there was a post done on that question a long time ago and we saw some pretty impresive milage on these bikes.

In my view its NOT ONLY a testament to the reliability of these machines but
nice BRAGGING rights on how many miles people accomplished.

Wish I had that much time...8-)

Both our machines have over 1500 miles and 150 hard miles on them. Son's ATP has a carb. that's had to be cleaned and adjusted. Other than that, they've been good.

We have a 87 That is still used regurlary on the farm..Don't know the miles because no speedometer..I personally have a 2007 500 Efi Delux with over 8000 miles and my 2009 550 XP has over 3000 miles in les than a year..Out of our group 20-30 riders we have a lot of Sportsman 500's with 6-7000 miles..Very few problems with the ones that are maintained properly...

Like others have said, it's a function of care from a maintenance standpoint, knowledge of basic workings of the bike (so you know when something is wrong), responsible/reasonable riding technique, where it's kept (in the front yard, or a tent, garage) and some luck with that particular build from the factory. Sounds like ya got a good bike.
