850XP Wheelies

I just discovered that I can bring the front end up on my 500 in low if I kneel on the seat. I do have the front box packed with stuff and a winch.
I was surprised that it would come up.
I can't imagine what kind of power the 850 has.
I'm the only one with a sportsman in the group I ride with.

My 850 has a winch a front storage box with quite a bit of stuff in it and it will wheelie without too much trouble. I think you'll find the key is to punch the throttle all the way and hold it there until your up up and away. If I don't hold it to the end it just takes off really fast but the wheels still come up a foot or so. So punch the throttle and keep it there.
Take good care

My 850 would wheelie fairly easily on 32's...on the stock tires and BHs it wheelied effortlessly..with good traction(ie on pavement) I couldn't nail it from a stop and keep the front end down..laying over the handle bars I would have to let out to keep it from going all the way over in HIGH...
Here is a crappy vid with the 32's...guru front bumper and winch installed as well..

I have a carbed o5 700 with a mystery clutch kit and winch and can rip the front end up from a stop. Once I get some of my 240lbs towards the back, it becomes a lot easier on the bike to yank the wheels. Unfortunately, the clutch kit does not do a good job of helping the belt and it will start to slip after a few wheelies.
I have yet to ride an 850, but it has to be a LOT easier to do than the 700. There's way more power on tap. If you want to pull wheelies on a bike that weighs about 800 lbs on its own, start slowly. Try it from a dead stop with a little bit of throttle. Then try a little more. Get used to how the quad will react before ripping 4k brake dumps while your sitting on the back rack.
It's a shame no one was around a couple months back when I stood my bike straight up in the air and drag my fat *** and back about 20 feet before I let go, sliding a good bit further on my own. Thankfully it was in a field with nothing but a mix of grasses and no rocks. Its funny when you walk away with no injuries, not so much when hospitals and ambulances get involved....start slow and enjoy life wheels-up!
