Default Hall effect sensor

Anyone else had to change this out. From what I researched this should be my problem. Bouncing speedo when bike is not moving. Dies when put in reverse unless the override button is pushed. Anywhere to get it lower than the dealer???I took it off the wheel and cleaned everything really good but it still is failing.

try cheap cycle parts, but i don't know if that it will fix your issue.
it sounds like your speedo. is getting feedback from something.

I did a fair amount of research and from what i found, a bad hall effect (speed sensor)would cause my problems. If there were more or different issues then it could be the entire speedo. The Hall effect sensor is around $50 vs. $300 plus for a new speedo....I doubt that I'm the first to have this problem and someone will chime in.
