Default 06 Phoenix with some issues... Help Please

Hello, I have recently purchased a 06 Phoenix 200 with very few hours. I noticed that the battery was not charging leaving me to kick start the machine. While running I disconnected the battery leads and checked with a volt meter. I was getting 3 volts. I believe it is the rectifier. Does this sound right? Or is there a better way to test this?

Second if the ATV is on rough terrain or jumping and landing under power, it seems to either pop out of gear or just grind the gears. I have done a little research and found that the 05's had the same issue. What was the fix to correct this?

welcome to the forum. guessing, but i would try checking the connection of the recifier plug to see if corroded or maybe unhooked as it does sound like that is the isssue. did you check if shifting linkage was ajustable? maybe just needs a small adjustment?

Thanks for the welcome. I have not checked the connections at the rectifier. The linkage is adjustable, but is not binding and appears to be fully engaged. I will check it again.
