I have a 97 xplorer 500 and the 4x4 does not work in reverse. I have eliminated the (can't think of what it is called) button you have to push to go faster in reverse. Everything was fine and then it just quit working in reverse. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

 

maybe the tranny switch is messing up if you say it's not the reverse oerride button.
