Default Sportsman 800 CPR

Well tried to start her and dead! Nothing, no lights, no click click. I suspect a dead battery after our long winter and spring season. Well this was the case last week. We tried jumping the battery from a Jump box did NOT perform the hot shot immediately but noticed after leaving it ON for a little bit the level indicator was rising and no CLICK CLICK on the start and some readings on the SPEEDO. My cousin's insistence was that IF it didn't start on the initial JUMP it wouldn't work. He was WRONG! lol...lol After about 10mins kicked up and I let running for a while.

I still think I need a new battery after near 3yrs now though.

Any other recommendations on EFI cleaning/tuning after a LONG SIT?

Thanks all,

R'

I am thinking you may need a new battery. Wouldn't want to chance it with no pull-start as a back-up. Might want to invest in a trickle charger and keep it on the battery when stored. Greatly extends the life IMO. Did you put fuel stabilizer in before storing? Unless I'm going riding for the weekend I always add it since life can get hectic and it may be a while in between rides. I would run some seafoam in your tank with the gas every so often also. That stuff is awesome for keeping things clean. Other than that I would change the fluids, check plugs/airfilter, grease it up, and give it a thorough check(tires,cv boots, etc).

Keep the Solenoid connections clean too. Cheap $20 part (aftermarket), but dirty connections can leave you walking
