Default Oil Injector 96 Sportsman 400L

I searched this forum high and low, and I still can not come up with an answer on how to adjust the amount of oil that I am mixing with my gas. I have the books that came with the 4 wheeler and they seem to tell me nothing about it. My problem is that I keep fouling plugs, the 4 wheeler runs great but after I shut it down, I start it back up and they plug is shot. This does not happen every time, but I replaced it 5 times in the last two weeks probably a total of 60miles of ride time. my assumption is that I am getting too much oil in the gas, as when I take the spark plug out it is very burnt and wet. I am pretty handy with a wrench, but when you do not know what you are looking for it is very hard to try and fix. also on the carb itself I see the throttle cable and the choke. Then there is a hose that is connected to the carb and not connected to anything else. Is this a breather?? Also on the right side if you were to be sitting on the quad, there is a few hoses that are grouped together and one also runs into the carb area and is not connected. I am just not sure what these hoses are and if they are suppose to be there or suppose to be connected someplace. more less I am looking for a diagram of everything that is suppose to be on the carb what all the screw do Idle etc. I know the idling screw. I read alot of different forums and they say something about lining up marks on something, but I am not sure what the something is that I need to line up. Any help on this would be appreciated. Also where does the oil go does it mix through the carb, or into the motor? I do not want to do a bypass, as most people seem to be doing. my oil levels are going down as I ride so I assume it is working. I just think I may be getting to much oil to be fouling plugs.

Follow the throttle cable, it will split, one goes to carb the other goes to oil pump, there are marks where the cable hooks to the oil pump, there is an adjustment and a jam nut, the book says the marks should align when trottle is just off of idle, they say 700 rpm, hope this helps

oil gets injected into the reed block (carb boot). oil pump is on the front clutch side.
If I remember right it will go to wide open. if the oil pump return spring has broke. could be the problem. good chance it is running rich air fuel wise too.

If the marks are lined up in the oil pump then the pump is correct, mine runs rich also but only fouled 1 plug in 3 years, if your spring in the oil pump is broke and the pump is open it would run way rich and use alot of oil.

Everything is as it should be and I am still fouling plugs. Today I finally recieved my new air filter I ordered a month ago, and I am about positive that was the problem. I have much more power now and it runs with alot less hesitation. So fingers crosses hope this works. I will keep you posted. Thanks again for all your help.
