i would have gotten the carb 500, but polaris wasnt making it in 07... then in 08 they bring it back out for a GRAND less real nice... i dont think its worth $1000. the only consolation prize was my efi came with 26" PXT tires

Have you got a pic of your HO efi?? If I were Polaris, I would have left the 500EFI, and left the 400HO carb.

I think this is part of the whole Polaris restructuring plan. No 450 racer carb only 500 (tho the 550 is EFI) and a move to Mexico. What next?

Actually the quad in my profile pic came with PXT's on it, and they were really good for stock treads... certainly better than 489's, or any stock tire that comes on a Japanese quad. They are the same as Carlyle ACT's, which also come stock on several Can Am's.

And if what I hear is right, American sold quads will still be made in MN, and the stuff made in Mexico is intended for overseas markets...probably built just down the road from where DODGE builds it's regular cab Ram pickups.

And so was my Sunfire. And I had no more problems than the ones built here, or USA.

If the mexiacn built ones are going over seas, fine with me.

Can Am build theirs in Mexico too.
