Thank you very much for all your help. I am going to work on it tonight. I will either get the drive shaft out complete or take the side out of the Diff. I will let you know how it turns out. I might even try the red neck method.
Thanks again. Greatly apreciated.

To everyone that replied to my thread I would like to say thank you very much for all your help. I would also like to apologize for giving the wrong year of my ATV. It is a 2004.5. This may of caused some of the confusion but when I look for parts on line sometimes I have to look at the 2004's and sometimes I have to look at the 2005's. Sorry again.
Anyway I am a happy camper now. I tried tuging and pulling, screwdrivers, crowbars, prybars, hammers and slidge hammers. Sometimes two at the same time. To no availe. I didn't try the hillbilly method for fear of my sons bedroom coming down on top of me.
What eventually worked was a spreader. See attached picture. It worked very well and was very easy. Sometimes you just have to take a good look threw all your tools to find things you had forgot you had.
Thanks again everyone. Speacial thanks to Big O for teaching me how to post a picture from my C: Drive.

Remember to put "Never seize" on the spline before you reinstall the axle, that way it will come out easier if you tear a boot and need to change it in the future.

Funny thing is the Polaris manual states to lube the spline before putting it back, but Polaris does not do it at the factory.

Glad you got it out and will be back on the trails soon. We all try our best to help and it is hard get a good idea of what someone is talking about without the pictures. That said you are very welcome and be safe on the trails.
