Default 07 Sportsman 700 misfire

My ATV misfire when it gets wet. I changed the T map sensor thinking that was the problem. It has gotten to the point that cleaning my ATV with the garden hose makes it misfire. When it sits for a few days that it is dry, it runs with no problem. Can anyone help?

Possibly spark plugs getting wet...maybe try to take the wires off and put some dielectric grease in the boots to help keep water out...

Polaris twins have this problem a lot. It is your plug wires.

Over time the wires no longer seal off the recess where the plug sits. Mud and water gets in there and it causes a misfire.

I can't even remember how many times I had to dig out mud out of the hole before I could remove a plug from a Polaris twin.

The plug wire on the 425 and 500 has a perfect seal in this area. That is why they don't have this problem.
