I just picked up a used trailboss. It will shift from Forward to nuetral, Shifts in reverse and the reverse limiter kicks in and makes the bike stutter if you give it gas. Problem is no reverse, no grinding, no noise, simply like it is in neutral. Any ideas, I know maybe shifting fork but it works good F to N. Thanks TonyT

 

That transmission has a known problem of popping the snap ring off the reverse gear.I fix them by taking the tranny apart adding a shim to take up play on the shaft and using a new snap ring.Some just tack weld the snap ring in place
