removing the gas tank

Default removing the gas tank

can someone tell me how to remove the gas tank on my 93 polaris 350 trail boss? i can get it to move bout an inch then it stops and im not sure whats holding it back. i need to remove it though to get to my spark plug. unless there is an easier way to get to the plug?

You have to unbolt the front cab (plastic) and remove OR lift up high enough to remove the tank from under it.The tank usually catches on the clutch air tube,lift up and out OR remove the air duct.Remove the fuel line from the the fuel valve on the tank bottom,be careful not to damage the fuel valve!

Didn't really look at what your main purpose was in removing the tank,NOT necessary to remove the tank! Just reach up from front of engine,pop the plug cap off,and with a short 13/16' box wrench to get to the plug. Kinda hard since the engine slopes,but this is all that's needed!When the engine changed from the 350 to the 400,plug removal was a lot easier. OPT

yea, i tried that but there didn seem like there was enough room to pop the cap all the way up. i did have success though with getting the tank out. and once it was out found some more issues so it was actually a good thing that i was able to get it out
