Carb adjustment question
#1
What part of the throttle does the air screw control on a 2 stroke carb? I'm really close to correct adjustment after a new clampon air filter, and I've played with the air screw before. I just want to know from where to where does it adjust in the range of the throttle. Thanks!

Air/fuel screw controls idle and up to about 1/4 throttle, past that its the main jet and slide needles function primarily.Adjustment range normally between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 turns depending on engine mods, air filter type, etc. OPT

That's what I needed Thanks! I know I've read it on here before but I couldn't find it last night and am leaving in a couple hours to ride so I gotta get her to quit that little bit of stumble out of the gate before I leave. Thanks again!

I was pretty close as far as the air screw goes, I went up to a 260 instead of a 240 and ended up around 2 turns out on the air screw to get it to where it doesn't studder on take off. I just couldn't remember which part of the throttle range the air screw made a difference in, but it's running like a 400 2-smoke should be now
Thanks!
Thanks!

Trash in the jets are the most common problem not allowing enough fuel to idle.Might be time to clean the carb or install a new carb kit since it's been sitting up. 1003-0159 - ATV Complete Carb Rebuild Kits Polaris Magnum 330, Trail Boss 330 | ATV Parts | MFG Supply
