I was having issues with getting low voltage to key switch. I supplied 12volts to yellow wire giong to key and blame speedo works and fuel pumps come on but headlights are flashing on and off. when they flash on quad will start when turning key but no go when lights arnt on. once it starts quad runs fine but headlights continue to flash and once 12 volt jumper is removed from yellow wire quad runs 15-20 seconds and dies. also when lights are flashing voltage on yellow wire is jumps from 5 volts to twelve when lights r on back to 5 when they go out. never seen anything like this . not sure what to replace any ideas now???

 

You've fought this a lot longer than I would have if it was mine! Don't know your situation as to money OR if you are determined to repair it,BUT a little over 200 dollars for a harness can eliminate your trying to trace wires and time spent trying to solve this! Good luck OPT

 

really dont think its the harness. I have it opened up all the way to modules and back towards battery. all my issues with wires where right at headlight pod no farther than that. going to try pdm module if that dont do it will try something else and sell pdm. I have 12 volts going into module but it spikes between 5 and 12 coming out cant believe harness would cause that. but maybe!! Have cash just refuse to pay stealership 85 plus an hour to do what I can. Most would just throw parts at it anyway and I can do that for free plus price of parts.

PDM was bad had 12 volts going in 4.5 going out to key. 5 t-20 screws and it was replaced!!! $182 for new one sure beat replacing harness just took a little investigating!!
