At least Indian was bought by a company that has at least fourteen years experience in building motorcycles and not bowling alleys, bowling ***** and bicycles like AMF. We were a Victory dealer from 1999 to 2003 and went through the early teething pains like all the dealers with recall after recall and updates, but they managed through it and I can honestly say they have a good bike! The Victory engine cases were thick enough(close to 1/2") that you could almost jack up the whole cycle on em if you wanted to and not worry and had an oil pump that could lube a small block V-8 along with 6 quarts of oil, plus hydraulic valves that didn't need adjusting! We only gave up mainly due to our location and slow sales(hard to sell em to farmers, hunters, and ranchers!) AMF almost put Harley in the grave until Willie G. stepped back in and took over! Hopefully Polaris Industries will basically leave the Indian as is with the same engine until 2013 as the article says? And maybe they won't inherit the same bad rep that AMF gave Harley because of poor quality and foresight either! As far as the Victory line,I say let em sell both and see what happens! OPT
