For the 05 sportsman 500 ho they list 2 different ones.

Whats the differnce in them and does it matter? The ink is gone on the sticker on mine so i dont know what it is. I want to buy a used one but not shure what one to get.

 

On the PURE POLARIS parts break down it lists the 3280435 as the replacement. Plus it shows 500 Ho/ Intl for the parts list, I take that to mean one is in Kilometers,but doesn't show another speedo number here? Just looked on Cycle Parts Warehouse site and shows TWO listings for the same model and shows 3280431. Kinda screwy or my brain just isn't working right tonight? Both of em show to have built in fuel gauges,but it doesn't give any detailed info? HAS to be the 3280421 is in kilometers and the 3280435 is in MPH (PURE POLARIS PARTS number). Do you have the listings backwards? OPT

I can pick this model up for a good price but i dont know if it will work proper.

 

$238 at Cycle Parts Warehouse for the 3280431 speedo if this is the one you need? Don't think Cheap Cycle Parts is any cheaper? Others may be able to know of cheaper sites? OPT

 

I meant i can pick one up cheap, its used and under $90.
Thats how the polaris site had them listed. mine now has mph and kph on it. My speedo doesent read anyways but i want it for the fuel gauge, tach, and warning features like over heat or such.

 

Guess I'm tired! DOES show both speedos on Pure Polaris Parts for the 2005 HO? As far as a used one hopefully you could come out ok or it could have the same problem as yours? Just the chance you have to take on used parts unless you are able to return it? Good luck whatever you decide! Must be tired when I overlook something like that! OPT

 

Im not shure what im gonna do yet, gonna think bout it for a little.

 

you can check on ebay for one as well as i have seen them fairly cheap for new ones(not sur on part #) but they are for the newer style. my 02' speedo is way more expensive on there then the newer style for some reason. supply abd demand i guess.
