04 sportsman 700 not firing...

Default 04 sportsman 700 not firing...

ok i have a late 04 sportsman 700 that was running fine untill one day i went to crank it and was getting no fire. i have changed the coil, complete wiring harness, and key switch. everything else is still working as it was before just no fire. could this problem be my cdi? if you have any info please resond soon before my wife decideds to scrap it...

When you say LATE model you do have the separate cdi and not the Ducati coil pack? If you have the Kokusan ignition,best to get the repair manual and check the stator specs before you throw any more parts at it! Plus you can remove the right stator cover and check for any dirt/moisture in the stator area that may be the problem. Try Partshark.com for a manual on your 700. OPT

Yes mine is seperate... I just bought and installed a brand new stator with no luck. The engine turns over just isnt getting any fire.

Is this a efi? My 06 was doing the same thing and and it was the crank sensor causing the problem.
