trail blazer 250 primary clutch bolt.
I finally did it I messed up the threads in the crank that holds the clutch on. Just alittle on the starting point to keep the bolt from going back on. Does anyone know the bolt size and pitch. I'm thinking if I could find the right tap or chaser I could clean the threads up and fix this problem. Thanks for your time.

Might be best to take the bolt to a good auto store or machine shop and have them use a thread pitch gauge to determine the thread pitch and diameter of the bolt. Then they may have the tap you need to clean up the threads on the crank shaft. Can't remember off hand, but it's a standard sae bolt. Cheaper this way than buying a whole tap and die set, unless you just want one, plus the kit(depending on size of the kit) may not have the tap you need and you may still have to buy one?. OPT

I got it,I went to Ace. The threads for the bolt that holds the primary clutch in the crank is a 7/16". The tap I got is a 7/16", 20NF fine threads. I'll leave the brand name and model number on here so someone if needed can cross reference it.
