Changing tires, best way to pop a bead???

I use the hf one and like it a lot. Spray the bead with plenty of soapy water and I leave 2psi in the tires. Very seldom will I come across one that's near impossible to break but when that happens I go with the 2x6/truck method. Great deal from that place on $8 a tire! Well worth it.

Got them mounted and they look awesome. Went up a size from 22" to 23" and an inch wider in fronts from 7" to 8". The difference in the ground clearance is crazy! Can't wait to ride soon!
Other mods I have done:
3" wheel spacers
3000# Superwinch
Front brush guard
Hand guards

Just a suggestion on how to seat you beads. Spray lighter fluid around the inside of the rim. It doesnt take much. Hold a fire stick to it and boom.... It is sealed. Flip over the tire if the starter fluid is burning to put it out.

i got one of them HF tire changers. one of the best $50 i've ever spent. like he said, a little over an hour and you're done with all four!!!!!!! and you don't have to be mad if a dealer bends your rims. i don't worry about bending my own cause it don't happen. i go nice and easy. i also use liquid dishwashing soap to "lube" the beads so the bead tool/tire iron slips right through without much friction. plus, when i air up the tire, the soap helps out on a pressure check/leak test!!!!
I actually welded mine to my trailer
they work great!when I'm home, I actually use my log splitter to pop the tire bead- but the HF tire changer works great once you get the hang of it. can be a little tricky with fancy rims but. It paid for itself 10 times over!

. i may copy your idea, OF COURSE, with your permission....
that looks great and sturdy. yeah, i've learned the hard way that it can be tricky, but as you stated, it has paid for itself quite quickly.

I painted it all up and I'm really happy with where it is now.

Ooops,sorry, I just checked your profile,I did not know they made a 300 Sportsman. I have 350 Grizzly 4x4 with 25" stock tires that it handles no problem I bet a 300 Sportsman could go to 24" or 25" without a problem as well if you chose.

Yeah the 08-09 Sportsman 300/400 is the old Hawkeye. Then they went full-size and got rid of the 300 in 2010. It came with stock 22" tires, always wanted bigger. So just came back from a 4 day trip to Maine and put 265 miles on it with the new tires, and man you can feel the difference. Lost a lot of low end power. May put a clutch kit in it. One of the front tires blew a sidewall the first day, but after sending a few pics to RockyMountainATV, they are replacing it! Bonus!!!
