Default Polaris Trailblazer 250 wont stay running when hot

Hi all, ive got a problem with my 97 Trailblazer 2 stroke. First off, its had a top end rebuild about 4 years ago. But lately it wont always start with the starter only the recoil. When i did a compression test it was in the 90s with the electric start but if i would rip the recoil it would be up around 100 110. Seemed the harder i ripped it the more compression it had. Idk how that works or if it was an accurate reading or what. Then when its running it will idle fine when its dead cold then when it gets warmed up i have to keep it running with the throttle or it will die. And most of the time if it dies after its hot i cant get it to restart, electric start or recoil. I was thinking maybe the carb float sticks? Idk theres so many problems im just so aggravated with it

Sounds like it's time for another top end end if you're only showing 100-110 pounds compression when cold. Could be loosing ring seal against the cylinder wall as engine heats up,loosing compression and wont idle. You might try crank seals first to see if it helps. You have to have a good seal at the bottom to compress the gas/oil mixture as well as good top end compression for it to run good and idle. OPT
