Default drowned my sportsman 700

Hi just after some advice.I have a sportsman twin 700 04 mod and i drowned it while out hunting the other day.Ive taken the plugs out wound it over and got the water out and now about to drop the oil in it.I know i will have to change it a few times but was wondering if i should change the other oils in the diffs aswell. Also the steering started banging and kicking to the 1 side. The shaft from the diff to the wheel can moove about an inch. The boot is ripped apart so i need to order a new shaft. So should i change both shafts as i dont know if they go around the same time and what is the correct name of the shaft is it front drive shaft or prop shaft and the best place to order it from thanks

Change all the fluids!! The prop shaft goes from the transmission to the front differential. Be sure to change out the differential fluid and engine at least a couple times if it was submerged. Plus check the fuel system for water. Better to waste oil, filters, and other fluids now(after running until engine is warm, then change fluids again) to keep from any possible damage if you can. The front shaft is the drive shaft (#1380218) IF you need the whole drive shaft and not just a cv boot.Check first if the cv joint is ok and just needs a boot, but if you want an OEM replacement you can check here. http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...ct.asp?srt=mfg
Plus there are after market drive shafts and drive shafts on Ebay. OPT

#1590358 cv joint plus you will need #2201015 cv boot kit. There is no outer cv on the front shaft just a ujoint. If the shaft splines have been damage by the cv joint it might be best to replace the whole drive shaft assy.Plus always replace the circlip on the shaft. It usually gets distorted. Cycle Parts Warehouse is about the cheapest online for oem parts. Or you can try Ebay. OPT

Unless you find a complete strut or shock assembly on Ebay (which could be in worse shape than yours) about the only wear items are the strut cartridge and spring, plus top and bottom pivot ball on the front strut(if the strut casting itself is ok) and the rear shock and spring. Look here under "front strut" and "rear suspension" under your model. You can have any shop install the parts if you don't have the tools to replace the springs, etc. Browse
