Default Gates belt

Has anyone ever tried the gates G force belts? Smoked the belt on my 500 ho and the polaris belt is about twice the price of the G force.

Welcome to the forum! Main reason belts are glazed and burnt up is being under a load in the wrong gear or just flat stuck and burn the belt up trying to get out. Most people stick with the oem belts because on some aftermarket belts the dimensions are wider causing hard shifting and creeping. If there are any belts as good as stock others will give you their opinions. OPT

Can't beat the oem belts IMO. Try ebay and you will save a ton of $!

I agree have not found any aftermarket belts that hold up. There always seems to be a lil differance in widths and cause problems with creeping and hard shifting....

In 13,200 miles I never had one belt issue on my 08 500 POPO , I'd change them every 5000 miles but even at those miles they were still working fine . OEM belts last a very very long time .

Polaris OEM is the best but i have and do use one (Gates) on my Scr400 and like it. I think they make/made the belts for HPD. NAPA sells them.
