I was wandering if anyone has ever modified their footrest before? My wife likes to do a lot of riding with the boys and doesn't get crazy at all. Sometimes she would like to ride barefoot but with the footrest with the way the are you cannt. Anyone make something to work that you could take off easy if you wanted to? Her old mod size 400 had soft rubber on the footrest. Not sure if the same thing could be done.

 

Not my area on mods, don't even know if it would work,but look at the footwell on the 09 touring and see if the foot risers might be adaptable? Browse Might have to take the whole footwell if it would work which would be expensive. Or build up something similar? Just a thought. Others may have better ideas. OPT

 

I still don't think it's a great idea. Even if your wife is very careful those around her may not be. Now I'm not the safest person in the world and understand so I'm sure there is something you could easily do. It wouldnt look real trick, buy you could just cut out a 2x6 or 2x8 and attach it through the existing holes or even use round headed bolts and drill a couple of your own holes in the footwell.

What is it with women and barefeet? I seen a lady running a weed eater barefoot, in short short shorts, and a bikini top the other day. Made me feel like a bitch considering I wear jeans, boots, glasses, hat, and ear muffs LOL
