Polaris reliability question

When I test drove a BF with power steering the only gripe I had was the one I always gripe about. To fully lock the front end you have to hold on to that little yellow lever. I've been in some pretty deep mudholes where you have to stand on the right floorboard to keep it from tipping. It wouldn't be fun to try to hold on to that lever in those situations. Other than that, minor????, gripe it was a nice machine.

that analog front diff locking lever kawasucki has is the absolute stupidest feature I've ever seen on any 4x4. why they continue to use it is beyond me. either lock it up, or un lock it! I don't need any "partially" locked front diff, or want to hold any silly lever in when fighting my way up a rocky hill or a climbing out of a mud pit. Also hate the "cvt toggle" that puts you in "limp home" mode-
I think the polaris has far better features, ergos and gives a much better ride. I hated both of my BF 750's -personally, I would honestly chose just about any other brand name atv over the brute force-
but to be fair- I have not ridden the new brutes- but just the fact they still have that incipid diff lock lever shows me they have not done anything all that innovative under the new plastic...

I'm hoping to get one to ride for a while - not a fan of the lever but if I get one I'll see how it goes.
The ergo of the Kawi fits me better than the Polaris does - I guess size does matter
I spent a day this past week riding a 2012 Rubicon and liked it a lot.
Doug is working on getting some new 750 King Quads too. I'd really like to spend some time on one of those.
They all have trade-offs. Right now I'd probably buy a new Rubicon - they only thing I wish it had was more power - everything else works great for me.

All quads have their quirks...polaris and Brutes are no different. One thing I did not like about my Polaris was the ridiculous amount of revs it took to get the machine going. I sold my 2012 Polaris and got a 2012 Brute 750 EPS and love it, but they are not for everyone. If you are tooling around leisurely and like a very comfy ride, the Polaris is where it is at. If you like to ride the quad hard and throw it around like a dirt bike, the Brute is perfect. It has instantaneous power off idle and weighs about 150lbs less then a Polaris. The suspension can get overwhelmed when driven aggressively though...stock tires are horrific as well (replaced mine after 34 miles).
