Default 2006 Polaris Sawtooth CDI Module Problems

I just bought a 2006 Polaris Sawtooth not running. The owner says that it needs a CDI Module put in it. However he told me that he had already put 2 in it over the years($200 ea). The original owner was an area orchard, and they sold it. It's only a 2006, I suspect that they had problems with this as well and just got rid of it. Before I just buy a CDI Module and replace it, any ideas as to why this ATV eats these modules? Any ideas as to what would cause the module to keep goig out? Something is causing it to go ou., What should I look for? Any help greatly appreciated. dro1960

Welcome! Sawtooth was the most dependable(at least all the ones we sold) We had more problems on the Hawkeye and Phoenix. If it keeps blowing cdi units it could be stator related? Try these people to see if you can down load a manual with a schematic and electrical checks.
