its very odd, on the right hand side i can make it bounce by lifting it...no noise...the left hand side i can make a clunk noise by lifting it up only 1/4"...noise seems to be coming from top of bike. i'll double check your suggestions and go from there.

Thanks

OPT, i know its been a while, but i haven't got around to do much riding, i'm having the issue on both sides, to me it seems the new shocks are bottoming out when i ligt the front end of the bike about an 1" or so..i can make a clunking noise..its coming from the shocks. I read somewhere that a guy had the same issue and he moved his shock up about 1" in the housing....I'm thinking of doing that..what do you think? maybe my shock is sitting too low?

Thanks

Give it a try,you don't have to bottom out the strut cartridges. Just make sure both are even distance from the bottom of the strut housing. But as I mentioned before I've had some new ones straight out of the crate do the same thing when you lift up on the front end. If it still just does it on one side, possible that you could have a weak spring.

Will give it a try, do you think i will need to take everything apart?...or could i just loosen the strut housing and jack up the bumper?

Getting the strut cartridges even by doing it that way may be hard, but give it a try.If it doesn't work then do one side at a time.
