Default trail boss 250

Trail boss 250 belt width is 1.188 inches I think. Mine is 1.07 something is that going to make a big difference on top speed? I ask cause I took it for a test drive yesterday and it didn't go very fast, maybe 20 mph. I have one on order just seeing if that's a main problem or I have a bigger issues I need to address. Thanks for any info.

You may have bigger issues such as worn ramp buttons in the rear clutch.http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1999&fveh=5467

Alright so my next question is. I let the buttons sit in some no blaster. And o broke two of the screw off. What is the best way to remove them?

This is the tough part! You have to use a small drill bit through the broken screw then use a small ease out to try to remove remove it to save the threads in the clutch sheath.I never was too good at it! I've even tapped out the holes a bit larger and used larger torque screws(the recess slot in the ramp button has to be enlarged also) some would hold up,some I just had to replace the clutch if it didn't as you can't buy each clutch sheath separately. Plus I wouldn't trust one from Ebay.

Didn't think you would be able to! I never had too much luck on these small screws myself. Hope the one from Ebay is okay!

Well I got lucky. The one from eBay was in better shape, buttons were worn down. But the screws came out with ease.

Better than paying $300 for a new clutch! Good luck.
