I'm looking for a "severe duty" belt for my buddy's 2003 700 sportsman. We went riding yesterday and it started squealing on the way back to my house and he almost made it before it let go. It had the 3211091 polaris belt on it and that seems to be the stock belt for it from what I've found online, but he's got 27" mudlites on it but bought it used that way so we don't know if there's been a clutch kit installed to compensate for the larger tires. If anybody knows what the stock springs are he has a light blue with either a yellow or light green stripe on the primary and I'm not sure about the secondary but I'll find out if necessary.

 

Has anyone had any sort of an upgraded belt for one of these? From what I've gathered the 700's take a thinner belt than the majority of the sportsman line. I know this one takes a 3211091 and most of the rest take a 3211113 or 3211133 polaris belt. Does anyone have the specs on either of the last two belts as far as length, width, and thickness? I think I have the specs on the 091 in the manual but I can't seem to find much about the other two. Or does someone already know that neither of these will work?

Yeah from what I've found they're the only one's that make a "upgrade" in the belt department. I was more looking for a different polaris belt number that would be a better/stronger/longer lasting belt like the 3211077 belt can be replaced with a 3211113.

 

Material wise there all Polaris belts are as tuff as the other,there just different part numbered because there different dimensions.

They make a Dayco Exsteam belt for a 18hp ski-doo 250 Tundra and a 145hp Ski-doo 800 E-tec but there both made the same just different sizes.

With 27" tires and no clutch kit his only choice is to try using low range more often even on less then very high load conditions.
