If no one on the form has one keep a check on Ebay along with your local Craigslist.Couple on Ebay for 150 bucks, but still pricey. New ones are around $425. If you still have the broken post for this carb you might be able to Jb weld it in place to be able to work. I've repaired a couple like this when people got to aggressive when the punched the float pin out and broke a post.

I saw this listing for $125 and is a new Mikuni carb and it said it fits the Magnum also if I remember correctly. This carb should fit your model since it should be a BST34 (34mm) http://www.ebay.com/itm/POLARIS-ATV-CARBURATOR-FITS-THE-4-STROKE-ATVs-MIKUNI-CARB-MAGNUM-SPORTSMAN-/390704145810?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5af7c82592&vxp=mtr At the bottom of the description does say BST34 Will fit your 98. Heck of a price if it's legit as a new OEM carb on online parts sites is around $400!http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1998&fveh=5461

I bought this carb off eBay for my '02 Xpedition, everything is right with it, figured all the time spent fixing and replacing parts on an old carb...

Gotta think with time and money spent, going to be pretty close to the same amount.
