2002 Sportsman 700 gas tank leak
I have a 1/16th hole in my gas tank from a drill bit. I put some epoxy/glue on it in the summer and it held up until the freezing temperatures this winter when it just came off and the tank started leaking again. I don't remember which epoxy I used but I got it from the auto parts store and it was supposed to be ok to use with fuel/oil. Any suggestions on how to permanently repair the hole?

Saw this on a tractor forum about farmers fixing holes in plastic fuel tanks, plus this video I found explained the same thing. Never tried this myself, but seems logical,I guess. It's just the thought of any heat around gas vapors that I've never liked. Look at the video about the 5 minute mark, shows a repaired gas can also. Just use common sense on this if you give it a try.
