Default 2006 Polaris Hawkeye 300 2x4

Help! I picked up a 2006 Polaris Hawkeye 300 2x4. It was only $200 so i'm not complaining. It has electrical problems. The battery has a FULL charge. I can't find a fuse, are there any on this machine? The front dash isn't lighting up at all. When i stick a screwdriver to the solenoid, the starter will spin. Just don't know where to look for fuses and can't find any manuals. ANY help would be appreciated. I know the hawkeye wasn't the best of polaris, hehe.

UPDATE; SO I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT. I DID FIND THE FUSES. BUT AFTER I REPLACE IT, AND TURN THE KEY TO ON POSITON, THE SCREENN TURNS ON FOR ABOUT A SECOND AND THEN SHORTS OUT AGAIN. LOOKS LIKE IM GONNA FOLLOW THE HARNESS TOMORROW. IF ANYBODY HAS ANY TIPS WHERE I SHOULD LOOK, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS.

I got mine cheap too, it needed a new rear subframe. You might want to check that if you havent. they were made too thinly and metal fatigue kills them where the rear a-arms attach. if you need a service manual I can email you one I found.

I would start in the steering neck area. I have a 2006 hawk 4x4 NO TROUBLES YET BUT ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.......

oh yeah, there were two safety recalls on them. head over to polaris's website and run the VIN number. I just got mine fixed for free. handle bar mount and front bearing carriers were replaced. it sure would've been nice if they'd have shelled out for that rear subframe, cost me $200.

Just a steering post brace to keep it from bending supposedly. Don't see how it really would help that much, plus a beefier wheel bearing carrier that was needed when you compared it to the thin one that could break.Polaris Recalls Select Hawkeye Model ATVs for Steering Post Failure Hazard | CPSC.gov

my handle bars were pretty wobbly. I wouldnt ride it hardly till I got that fixed. just a few test drives up and down the road after I rebuilt everything. I'm getting some new tires mounted today and it'll be done after I paint the rims.
