Default 95 xpolerer 400 starter removel

1995 xpolerer 400 starter works on and off, mostly off, sol. clicks and starter does not turn over, new battery has 13 volts sitting and 14+ running, cables OHM, 12 volt at starter terminal when u hit starter button and relay works, need to check starter, I removed the long bolt that goes through the case on the right side and into the starter on the bendix side and the 4 bolts on the the left side of the starter 2 in the starter and 2 on the bracket and the starter won't come out, hit it with a plastic hammer a few times and still won't budge, is there still a bolt I can't see, book is less then accurate it calls for only 3 bolts.

ya I took all 4 #9 and the bracket off and 1 #17s, I looked at the parts break down before and it showed 1 #17 in the pic but the part number calls for, so I need to find the other #17, I guess I need to remove the floor board to find it, what kind of tool do u use to get the top #9 back in, I used a squeeze wrench, was wondering what a pro uses, thanks again for the help OPT

What I used was one of these. Most of the time not worth working on a starter. Cheap enough just replacing the starter as a brush kit, cleaning up an armature may not last.. DB Electrical - NEW POLARIS ATV STARTER 250 300 350 400 HEAVY DUTY PA101 18331
