Default polaris 425 magnum electrical issue??

hey guys i have a 98 425 magnum and the 4x4 quit working,the button does not light up anymore and for some reason now the neautral light stays on? this all happened same time about month ago, didnt know if anyone had same issue? & could save me a step or 2 with my electrical search?

Hopefully answered your question in your other post. You have to have fully charged battery,PLUS if the awd switch still doesn't light up when you install the new battery it can just be a burnt bulb or the gear box has too much wear to where it can't trigger the gear position switch. The switch triggers the awd light to come on when in high range or low.When the shift box components wear/too much slack(usually high range is the gear range affected) if you push a little more forward on the shift lever while in high and if the light comes on,then you need to address the shift box components. Usually low range is not a problem on kicking on the light as it's used less. Hopefully your problem is just a dead battery and not in the gear box also.Gear position switch is item#14.
