Default OPT help with a belt

2004 Sportsman 500. The drive belt was shot. I ordered one on line with some other parts and got around to replacing it today. The belt I put on was a OEM 3211077. Took it for a ride and everything is fine. I was cleaning up and I found the sleeve from the old belt and it was 3211095 (the number was gone from the old belt) I looked to see if the part number changed and every site I go on list the 095 belt. When I replaced it the new one went on fine and like I said it seems ok but I only went for a short ride. I have a trip coming up soon and just want to be sure I will be okay if not I will rip it apart again and see if I can find the 09t belt. Thanks again for all of your knowledge and help.

Take the #3211095 ebs drive belt. The #3211077 you installed is a non ebs belt. The #3211095 belt for this type ebs clutch system hasn't been updated for the 2003-2005 models 500s that uses it. Just me,I'd try to sell the non ebs belt to someone that has a Trail Boss or Trail Blazer 250 or a 350/400 2 stroke that uses the #3211077 and get the right one for it.

#3211095 Ebs belt usage

2003 SPORTSMAN 500 HO (A03CH50AA/AB/AC/AD/AE/AH/AJ) - Driven Clutch
2004 A04CH50AA SPORTSMAN 500 (A04CH50AA/AC/AE/AG) - Driven Clutch
2004 A04CH50AQ SPORTSMAN 500 (A04CH50AO/AQ/AR/AS/AT/AV/AW/AX) - Driven Clutch
2005 SPORTSMAN 500 HO/INTL (A05MH50AB) - Driven Clutch /Ac/Ag/Ah/Al/At/Fb

Thank you. I will get one from my local dealer. I checked my order from the on line dealer I used and it shows the 077 belt so I will be calling them when they open. I,dont know if I can return it or not but either way I need to get it done. Thanks again.

If they made the mistake I'd ask for a refund or exchange if they'd do it. If not I wouldn't just eat a belt as someone would take it off your hands even if you lost a few bucks from what you paid for it. At least it wouldn't just be hanging in the garage.
