Default trouble help please

i have a 2007 sportsman 500 6x6, i start having trouble when one morning i when out to start and the battery was dead , hook up the boater cables to get a boat but found out that the rad fan was on that kill the battery so i tried to start it but nothing happen and nothing showed on the tachometer bought a new control module on , and have the same problem any one out there have any ideal thanks

If you replaced the ecm module and still have problems,then you're probably going to need a wiring schematic to help you trace problems.Your model was NOT listed on the original recall,but can still fail.If the fan still runs with the new module and ignition is off,unplug the battery until you figure out where the problem is.Some have even overheated and caught on fire in a few cases.Plus here's a cheap manual that has trouble shooting guides along with a good wiring schematic that can help.2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 Service Manual PDF Download

Yeah, all these new quads with power steering I'm sure have to have basically a fully charged battery at all times or you get all kinds of idiot codes flashing. Power steering is nice but its a luxury more than a necessity. As soon as Yamaha put it on the Grizzly 700, everyone else had to come up with a system. At least it is not standard on all big utility 4x4 models, you still have the option of buying one without it.
