Nope,still the Fuji engine as well as the 400. Good engines,good track record as far as longevity and many like yours and older still running around. Here's a comparison chart between the 400 and 500. 2004 Polaris Sportsman 400 ATVs

The guy's asking top dollar. Just depends on condition,condition,condition. See if he can split the difference between trade in and retail. That's how a lot of people do.If he wont budge and don't like his price walk away. Plenty more out there.Kelley Blue Book

Another ? I pulled the clutchs on the 500... someone has been there!!!! Primary spring is orange with a 4.25" free length and the secondary is white with yellow stripe..
Probably explains why I have to rev the snot out of it to get moving...
Hits the rev limiter in reverse just to get it moving.
both clutches were clean and in good shape.
Thinking of going with the EPI kit.. Is that a good choice?
