I have looked high and low and i cant find it.I also have a Haynes manual which only gives me front A arm inspection.How do the bushings come out? I dont know if there pressed in or not? And should it have new bolts? I dont know if they could get worn also Thanks

 

Pull the a-arm off,pull the shaft out,then take a long punch and knock the old bushings out. New ones just tap in place.Then reinstall the shaft. You can reuse the bolts and washers although the manual says to use new ones. Just make sure you use blue thread locker.Main thing is to start loosening both a arm bolts at the same time. If you try to take one out at a time the other bolt will just spin in the shaft.

 

Thanks seems like it would not take long to change them.I am thinking of useing the DELRIN bushings instead of oem ones.Going to looking into them and see whats up

 

After looking into DELRIN they dont seem to do any better than OEM.I think i will call it a day and get the polaris bushings

 

update i replaced the bushings with the most recent polaris bushings.It was really not a bad job to do at all.I did note the bushings were already the long ones.but they were made of a softer material than the latest bushings.The latest bushings are a very hard material.The bushings that were in it were loose but not as loose as i thought they were when i had it all apart.Anyway there new and perfectly tight now

 

Bushing changes seemed like a work in progress for Polaris as each time you ordered a a set they were a little different each time.

 

Does your A-Arm have a grease fitting like on my 2001? (#25), if not you can add them then when you grease them the ends ooze out grease from the bushing #21. Pretty hard for greased bushings to wear out . I,m still on the originals.
I use marine grade synthetic grease for higher water resistance.
