Xplor,

Thanks man...I think I am going to call Rick Ritter soon, see what he has to offer me. He sells HPD clutch kits, correct? So if I buy one it will be an HPD, but works on RCR pipes too, since he sells both brands of pipes.

I think for the type of ridng I do, the standard clutch kit will work fine.

I may look into some new reeds. As far as moding the engine, I will wait and do it to a newer Scrambler. Mine is now 6 years old ( but still in good shape) so I may get a new one someday and mod that one more.

Too bad they stopped making the Scrambler 400 4x4. Now the used market will be the only place to go to find a 4x4 2-stroke Scrambler.

'96 Scrambler w/RCR Stage 1 Kit, K&N filter, and Boyesen Power Reeds.

New guy question, When you guys talk about clutch kits, i.e. primary, secondary springs new helix weighs and then the ulitmate roller clutch thats alot for the new guy. I know that a pipe, hpd or rcr requires clutch tuning but whats enough and whats too much. I guess I need to educate myself more on the polaris drive system but this forum is a great place to start. One last question: are most of you doing these mods yourself or having the dealer install? I'm pretty handy with a wrench but this is my first quad. thanks Beefy250
