This is the red bikes piston. A piece of ring broke off and dis this damage.

Great experience for both of you. Bet his smile will be even bigger when you get it all together. That piston and head did take a beating..

He is loving it. He is a sponge, so he is taking everything in. If he breaks it, he'll know how to fix it.

I'm stuck. Its been a while since I worked on this. I'm trying to follow the manual, but am lost. Help?? Here is where I'm at. Are these in the correct order?

Sometimes it's better to look at the parts breakdown list.

I have 2 bushings that I don't know where they go. I'm sure where the longer ones goes. Where does the short one go? There are not two in that break down. I was looking at that too.

Sure they didn't come from the driven clutch or the gear quadrant area? It's been toooo long for me to remember what went where on these clutches..

You can see the length difference. I think the short one slides over the shaft and sits against the other? You can see inside the gear where I think it rides. Almost like a spacer.

Think you're right about them being spacers.You can tell pretty quick when it comes time for reassembly.
