Default Sportsman 700 low on power....

Took my bike out yesterday 02 sportsman 700 (carbed) when I first went to start it the battery was dead. Used a jump box got it running but it wouldn't run passed 1/4-1/2 throttle almost acted like it was hitting a rev limmiter. Let it sit and idle for about 20 mins I could finally go full throttle just revving. Put the battery on a charger over night it only pulled two amps the whole time it charged over night. Took it riding anyway it was rideable but very sluggish acted like it didn't want to take off had to give it way too much throttle just to get it to get moving (and get moving in no hurry i might add) every time I'd start from a stop, then at the end of the day it sounded like I was miss firing could this be from a bad battery?

I know the post is a little old, but you may want to check your carb boot for cracks. Could be running lean.
Also, there are countless posts about failed ignitions. I'll try to find a link.

Thanks for the reply guys I appreciate it. I ended up putting a new battery in it, then I found a ripped vacuum plug on the carb, that plug was causing the issue. I actually sold the bike yesterday as well. Buying a more sporty DS650.
