Default 1994 Polaris Sportsman: Blue smoke

Hello all,

I have a 1994 Polaris Sportsman 4x4 which has excessive blue smoke. Compression and rings are good. It burns about 1L of Polaris blue 2 stroke oil per tank of gas. From what I've read it should be 1L of oil per 5-7 tanks of gas.

I have read other member's questions in regards to adjusting the oil pump and have taken a look at mine.

Attached are pictures of the pump at idle and full throttle.

1. Full throttle: 2 lines are matched up perfectly

2. Idle: I'm at about 5 o'clock and based on full throttle I should be at 6ish o'clock. How is it possible one can be lined up and not the other? Is this likely my issue? How do I go about adjusting one and not the other?

Thank you.
