I've not had any problems with my 2000 325 Trailboss. It is the first quad I have ever owned. To me the 4-stroke seemed easier to maintain than the 2-stroke, but you ought to try and ride them both and decide for yourself. Don't go on what everyone else says or we might all be riding Honda's.

2000 Polaris Trailboss
DG alloy bumper(for a 400 scrambler)
K&N jet kit with filter.
RCR air box modification
RCR green spring
Oneal handle bars with scott grips
removed the rack
removed rear mud flaps
and trimmed the front mud flaps

ANYONE FOUND AN EXHAUST KIT FOR ONE OF THESE YET?
Let me know

I HAVE RODE BOTH. THE 250 IS MORE SPORTY LOOKING AND AND 325 IS MADE FOR SOME SPORT'IN AND MOSTLY UTILITY. I PERSONALLY DID NOT LIKE EITHER MODELS BECAUSE THEY BOTH LACKED POWER AND TORQUE. MY FRIEND HAS A 325 AND I CAN BEAT HIM ON A 300 HONDA TRX 4X2. PLUS THE TRAILBOSS 325 IS VERY HEAVY. NEEDS A BIGGER ENGINE. OF COURSE THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THAT PROBLEM GET A 325 MAG. 4X4 THAT HAS A DRIVE SHAFT. I HEAR THEY DO ALOT BETTER THAT THE AUTO TRANNY WITH THAT ENGINE SIZE.

The 2 look identical (the other person must be thinking of the Trail Blazer) The 325 has better brakes better range and the concentric chain which is a big plus. It is not under powered. I have a friend who is 6'5" & 350# and it hauls him up and down hills with no problem. I have been very pleased with mine. It doesn't have a real high top speed (45-50) but on the trails that doesn't matter. BK

The 250 will smoke the 325 4-stroke like a cheap cigar! The 250 is also cheap to 'hop-up'with performance parts.

I have to agree with Weedy, I own a 250 and a buddy has a 325. Speed and power(as far as I'm concerned) both go to the 250. The 325 has the better, updated suspension and concentric drive . If you can find one I would rather have the 250.

I have ridden both to and i think that my 325 could beat the 250. mine has better acceleration with a little more top end then the 250 i rode.
