Is there anyone out there that has used or know someone who has used either the AAEN or HPD roller clutches? If you do what is your opinion on them, what quad was/is it on, what is your riding style? I have heard that the AAEN version can cause some slapping when jumping (on and off the throttle conditions) is this true? I have also heard that the HPD will actually upshift slightly before backshifting when you let off the throttle at higher speeds is this true? I do every type of riding imaginable and need to decide which will suit me better. None of my customers have tried either one.

I have the Aaen on my Scrambler400. It is amazing to say the least. If I were you I would give Olav at Aaen a call or Mike/Darrel over at HPD. they could give you the low down on the products. They are friendly and honest.

Mine has instant throttle response and quicker acceleration now.

Thanks guys. I have already talked to Olav and Mike. I like both those guys, however they are both salesmen at heart. They both made good points on there products and I like both companies. I just wanted some customer response. Since I am the parts manager at my shop customers ask me what I run and what I think of products from different companies. I will be ordering tomorrow and I believe I will be getting the HPD design simply because of its design. Thank you for your input. Anyone else who responds I won't be ordering until around noon so any more info would be appreciated.

When you remove the EBS does it make a night and day differance? take of? top end? mid range? I have a sp 500 2000. I would really like an honest opinion. Most people say I love it! But i want to know what they love...

It isn't exactly a night and day differance except for the free wheelin' aspect when you let off the throttle. You will also gain a couple mph on top end. I didn't order the roller clutch yet so anyone else out please give me your opinions.
