The 335 have a front receptacle / rear plug-in.

As far as being under powered I would like to know what the crossing point is between a quad having enough power compared to a quad being underpowered.

Bill said the 335 are under powered compared to the 500. It's only common since that the 500 are going to have more power than the 335. That does not make the 335 underpowered.

I have a hard time understanding why a utility quad that is capable of going 45 mph is being called underpowered. It’s less powerful than the 500 yes, but in my opinion it’s not underpowered.

Bigbadcat, the Sportman is finally broken in and so far everything is going just fine.I plowed some snow last wk and one hub kept wanting to lock up on me.I changed the hub oil AGAIN and so far everything is going fine.I plowed again yesterday, everything ok.I went to my local riding area today and had a blast in the snow.I hope everything continues to be ok.Benelli,im sorry for calling the 335 underpowered.I guess most all 300cc quads would feel underpowered when comparing them to anything 500cc or bigger.Enjoy your rides,====BILL

I just finished reading 4whl Atv Action Feb 2000 issue. There is a comparison on the Mag 325 and Kawie 300 Prarie. Prarie won hands down, They also said the Mag would only go 35mph tops! I was told by a dealer that the Mag 325 was faster than the Sp335, so the Sp335 must be a real slug because the Mag sure is. Later Bob.

What? 35 tops! That would mean that the Polaris Diesel could nearly outrun it. Bull****! I'm not calling you a liar Bob, but they have that way off. Even with the weight they are carrying around they will atleast hit 45 mph. NO doubt in my mind.

Hey little kitty, I just told you guys what I read. Go read it for yourself if you don't believe me. From what I've read in here from loyal polaris owners, the sp 500 struggles to get to 50. Sooooo if thats the case I wouldn't be suprised if an over weight, underpowered, topheavy beast like the sp335 or mag 325 would only reach 35mph. Im not a liar! Later Bob.

Bob,I to have heard [only in these forums] that some of the 500 Sportmans struggle to reach 50mph.But rest assured, mine will easily do 55-57mph with NO problem.I sometimes ride with 2 other friends with the 500cc Sportsman,no problem with them reaching 57 either.I do get there quicker because of my clutch kit though.Enjoy your day, ride when you get the chance=====BILL

Bob as I said before I was not calling you a liar. I simply said they were way off. Meaning where you read that statement. Now I was not intending to start a fight in a forum that I only post in a few topics, but I do not like to be insulted. So lets just drop it right here. By the way I don't think there have been many bikes since the late 80's that have not reached atleast 40mph.

My friend has a 250 and I have a 335. My four-wheeler is way bigger, more powerful, and way heavier. They aren't really comparable. We switched off and rode each other's quads a few weeks back. They are two totally different bikes. The Sportsman was far more superior than the Quadrunner, the Suzuki owner stated that himself.About the DC plug-ins, you can go to Wal-mart and get a regular cigarrete lighter plug-in and a short 2 post plug-in, wire the two together, and plug it in when you need it.It is very handy and fits in the storage box well.
