20hr checkup (please help)
#3
Rhunzi,
The best thing to check on your 20hr checkup, is the price of a Polaris service manual. It will instruct you on everything you need to know. Don't get me wrong, we're all here to help you and others, it's just that you can learn a lot ( like I did ) by buying this manual. For what we spend on these machines, the price of the manual is minimal. This is just a suggestion, and please post any question you might have as you learn about maintaining and maybe even upgrading the performance of your new quad.
Have Fun

One more thing. My HO is in the shop right now having both primary and secondary clutches replaced. The Polaris tech told the dealer that the clutch cover should be taken off and the clutches blown out with compressed air to clear any dust from the belt wearing, otherwise its like having sandpaper wearing away at everything. This should be every 10-20 hours. This was news to me, and about $700 worth if you have to pay for it. I have about 2700 mi.
