I was looking around to decide what size winch I wanted to get. I've seen them from 1500lb to 2500lb. At atvpartsdepot.com the Warn A2000 is $284.95. That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. I'll be using it to operate my plow as well as winch duty. On the site Warn recommends them for plow lifting with their plows.

Any ideas?

I like the one like you get at the Polaris dealers. It has mounting plates front & rear, along with electrical connectors. If you want to switch the winch from front to rear, or the other way around, it only takes a minute or two to switch around. Whether or not this setup is compatible with a plow is beyond me, though.
I think it is a 2000# rated winch.

good luck.
