As mentioned both winches are the same. The 2000 has the solid mount switch and the 2500 has the tethered remote and a contactor. I have the 2000 with a wireless remote from Ramsey. Great addition to my machine and went with the heavy leads so it is now equal to the 2500. I still need to buy the roller fairlead instead of the steel oval.
