Transporting two machines in pickup
#14
Yes you can, if you can lift the end. Make sure to cross all straps, I'd double them. Do you need to use your hitch for another trailer? Or are you trying to avoid the cost and mess of a trailer? If you want another idea, look in Northern Tool's catalogue for a "bed extender" Basically a 2x2 steel tube that inserts into the receiver, has another 2x2 upright, and another 2x2 flat with the truck's bed. Then just use a couple of 2x12 planks to from the front of the bed to the 2x2. You can haul two SP end to end.

Depending on what size truck you have, you might be able to put the loading ramps on the side of the truck leaning against the bed, then load the quads in sideways with two of the wheels from each quad resting on the side of the pickup bed.

needtoys,
I saw one of those sideway/on top of the bed racks down at the H/M TrailFest. SCARY was all I thought of, though I'm sure it'd work just fine with plenty of storage in the bed(I'd slow WAY down on the curves with two SP's up there!).
