Well guys, I went to the dealer today to talk about how their supposed "rebuilt" of my starter was crap. I had originaly stated that it was gonna work Garanteed. SO when I told him it didn't work, he said he would fix it for free!!!! So I'm a happy camper, He said he rebuilt the thing and that their was a broken spring in it or something??? Anyways I'll try it and we will see what happens, I hope it works, cause I ain't got the money to buy a 450$CDN(quoted by dealer)starter!!! Thanks All for suggestions and help.

PITB.....The only spring in the starter is the spring that extends/retracts the bendix. That should be a VERY SIMPLE repair job.
The spring is probably available from most automotive parts dealers. I'm not certain but I think most of them are the same on all starters.

Starters on these dont go bad as much as everyone thinks. The bendix will go bad (easy to change)The other thing i have good bad is the starter relay i repalce one and take the one that i take off apart and clean it up for a spare when the other gets where it wont work.Just what i have run into.-----------------Brad ------96 425 magnum 4x4 White drive spring blue driven spring K&N filter---------------96 400 Sportsman green drive spring blue driven spring GBC Gators
