All Polaris dealers should adopt this slogan:

"The quads are free...as long as you buy the parts from us!"

Good one , that hits the nail squarely on the head! they could give you a quad and get their money just in belt sales in a short time. I finally had to get a oil filter for the Rancher again, and that is getting costly . I just figured my maintainance total out on my computer and realized that i've spent about $50.00 on maintainance in a 9 mo. period. But that is just because i pound it relentlessly ,or it would only be $10.00.

there is no doubt that honda is the best on earth /////they make quads for all the old fokes that still ride.the reason they ride so slow is because the suspension sucks and their backs is broke.and also if they did ride fast they couldnt stop with those antique drum brakes.a honda rider dont have to buy parts because they are all riding like they are hauling eggs.its your pick though/buy a few parts and ride polaris or ride honda and buy preperation h!!!!!be cause your *** is killing you!!i like hondas//i like to pull them out everytime they get stuck because of that 3 wheel drive system.if you see a young person riding a honda that is becuase that is all his daddy would buy him or he has been raised on hondas and hasnt rode anything else so he dosnt think it gets any better.when honda decides to make a real atv with good power and disc brakes with killer suspension i may buy one but until then any other manufacturer can get my business.

I like that idea. If they would go for it, my sp 500 would cost me < $700.00. ( I wasted the right rear side ) Damn tree jumped out in front of me. Anyway, $275.00 for rear suspension parts, and it runs like new.
The rear cab, footwell, rack and mounts come to $440.00.( Having a few minor troubles) Anyways, the best part is that the insurance co. totaled it. Paid off the loan, + I got $1800.00. Soooooooooooo, I'm thinking I'll get another wheeler and keep the 500 for plowing/ work.
Works for me anyways.

2002 kawi 650 durability update. bikes has 175 miles now . 3 mud flaps, one oil change, one belt. i have rode polaris for 7 years now. i will have to say we ride as hard as anyone around not speaking in mud and water . just hard core tuff *** hell hills and relentlessly fast and tight trails. i normally change my belts like every 1000 miles and i will say i have hard a belt fail . i ride a min. of 100 miles per month. this kawi has some major power but belt life seems to be an issue. i have in the past ridden polaris 4oo 2 stoke with mods and belts are never an issue. of course i use low real high load situations. i the kawi defense it makes so much power low is never hardly used and belt slippage is harder to detect because the tires spin and roost alot. i am currently running 25 inch alltrak on the rear mounted on onf beadlock wheels

Bill,

I had a feeling you would like that one.LOL I was up at the dealer buying a belt and a chain (over $90 woa!!!) with a friend who needed a new front brake caliper, pads, whole new throttle set-up, chain, and gearcase, and we told the guy at the counter, "Geesh, you should just give the d*mn quads away for free as long as people promise to buy parts from you." Well, the parts guy found it funny...after he took the money from us!
